Puri Bayu lies approx. one hour north of the airport in Bali’s heartland. The villa belongs to the small, native village of Kedewatan, just about 6 kilometres outside Ubud, and is an ideal starting point for guests who want to explore and be inspired by the mysticism of the traditional Bali. The villa consists of two buildings: the main house and the guest house. The two buildings are the evidence of a high appreciation given by the owner to the Balinese culture. The organic nature of architectural materials and open verandas blends each pavilion into the site. The design and site planning are classic and timeless. The view from the terrace leads distant ‘sawah’ fields dotted with banana and coconut trees. The main house is a totally genuine Balinese style building with two stairs. Upstairs is the master bedroom with beautifully wooden polished floors. Besides the very specious, open living area, this room is the jewel of the villa. Sliding glass windows on three sides of the room provide a magnificent view of the Ayung River and the rice fields, and with the smooth breeze circulating, it makes one feel like sleeping outside in the nature! The bedroom is equipped with a TV, video, laser disc and en-suite bathroom. The downstairs open-plan living room, with stunning views of the river, invites guests to relax and meditate. I love the islands and I love beaches. One of the best places to go in the world is the south pacific for tropical islands. They are far away from everything, most are undeveloped, and the Polynesian culture is very unique and festive. I went to Micronesia once for diving and it was spectacular. The islands were expensive to get too but once I was there they were quite cheap. There is some development there but overall there weren’t very many people there. I like going to places that are devoid of people so I can get the beaches to myself. There is something very Robinson Crusoe about that. While I was there, I learned how to dive and saw a lot of spectacular coral reefs and fish. It was one of the best vacations I ever went on. I really like Micronesia.

A Lot of things happen, I would never have imagined that there would come a time when we would be auctioneering our goods to total strangers until eBay come and it ultimately ruled the online market.
