I’ll bet the Edwardian snowfalls didn’t bring the entire UK to a halt
I has been snowing for a few days here in the UK and lo and behold, the entire country virtually shuts down as a result. Flights are cancelled, trains delayed, even the London bus network was not operational for most of the first day.
I got thinking about the UK during the Edwardian period. Did they shut the country down with a few inches of snow? Did they decide not to bother trudge their way to work once the little flakes started to fall? I doubt it. I suspect it was al just a part o the day and they simply got on and did what they had to do.
