New Songs For Paul
Our neighbor, Paul, is learning to play the violin. We really enjoy listening to him practice. In nice weather, he spends a lot of time on his front porch with the instrument. Generally, there are only 10 or twelve pieces that he plays over and over, along with scales, etc. I noticed this week that he’s working on some new songs though. He’s really coming along, too. Not so many squawks and squeaks as at first.
He’s planning to play in a recital for the holidays this year, so it’s kind of odd, but some of the new music has a Christmas flavor to it. Sounds a bit strange in the middle of July.
