Remember the term ‘water cooler moment?’

A ‘water cooler moment’ was when a TV show generates a social buzz or feeling and many colleagues and friends chatted about it at work the following day after the broadcast. It appears to many that there are fewer and fewer Water Cooler moments partly due to television becoming less cohesive a social experience than previously. This is due to many things, digital downloads, various video on demand services and DVD box sets which have all paid their part in fracturing the common viewing experience for many. We tend to watch TV content when it is out of sync form one another.
