If you are an American and you travel Cuba you are pretty well out of luck. Tourism in Cuba is not allowed if you are an American citizen. This is not because Cuba does not want American visitors, quite the contrary, they would love to have Americans by the thousands descending on this little Caribbean island, wallets stuffed with American dollars. No, it is the policy of the current American administration as is was with each administration going back to the 1950s to try to force a change in the government in Cuba. Well, that has not worked yet. But, maybe opening the door to Americans might help nudge thing along toward more democracy.

It was probably on National Geographic or some other show like that where I remember seeing pictures or cinematography of these mountain climbers who were sleeping in some sort of rigging where they were practically dangling over the side of a cliff. How in the world do they sleep like this? I would be a nervous wreck. Actually, I probably wouldn’t be up there in the first place. If I were, however, I would be sure that there was some flat space where I could very safely set up a tent mountain climbers use. I know there are pretty small, but if nothing else, it would keep me from seeing how high I was!

I always thought that my name was spelled the same way as I would write them when I was a kid but boy was I wrong. I found out after a long period of time that on my birth certificate, my name was spelled differently from what I was using at school and other documents. It was just a single letter that was misspelled but it was a total mess especially when I needed legal documents. So I consulted a lawyer on what I can do and found out that I need to make an Affidavit that proves that I am one and the same person. I’m not sure if they called it as name affidavit but anyway I have to have all my records reconciled and eventually did with the help of my lawyers.

It’s not every day that we get to go on vacation. This is why I want to do something really special this year. I don’t want the run of the mill kind of trip so I am thinking about joining an adventure travel club. I’ve heard really great things about travel clubs and from all the research I have done, I think its going to be a perfect fit. Not only will I get to see some amazing places, but I will get to do it with a group of people with similar interests. I only wish we were leaving tomorrow. Once you have picked out your trip, waiting is the worse part.
