Acid Reflux Pillow: Get A Better Understanding
There is an abnormal reflux in the esophagus that causes some chronic symptoms, which in turn lead to acid reflux. Gastro esophageal reflux disease (GERD) is also called acid reflux because the digestive juices, which are a form of acids also regurgitate along with the food. There is a barrier that separates the stomach from the esophagus, changes in which can be permanent or transient, which are responsible for acid reflux. Heart burn and regurgitation are the most common indicators of acid reflux; however dysphagia, a condition caused due to troubled swallowing is also an indicator.
Burning sensation in the chest and throat can be due to acid reflux, when stomach acids get in contact with the esophagus?s lining leading to heartburns. Acid reflux is a common occurrence even among children, but due to the difficulty in identifying it among children, some symptoms like vomiting, coughing and effortless spitting have to be taken as indicators.
