Creativity and Single Parenting Go Together
Several of my friends are artists and I envy their creativity. They, on the other hand, believe that I am the most creative among us, even though I have no artistic ability. They tell me that no one they know was able to find so many unique ways to solve single parenting problems as I did. I have to admit, my years of rearing children on my own did present some pretty interesting challenges. Sometimes I felt like I was pulling rabbits out of hats as I juggled impossible schedules, arranged parties, and pep-talked three surly teenagers into becoming outstanding students who each went onto college.
