How can green tea effect me?
Of the three main types of tea today (black, oolong, and green) the antioxidant qualities of green tea effects have proven to be very beneficial incorporated into a healthy diet. Some of the benefits include: cancer prevention, diseases of the coronary arteries in heart disease, cholesterol reduction, bowel problems, diabetes, liver diseases, and weight loss.
Any ill effects are far outweighed by the many benefits in consuming green tea. The biggest negative issue with these teas might well be caffeine. Some are affected by it more than others, so should stick to drinking decaffeinated varieties.
A few of the precautions involved with green tea include: taking aspirin (may stop the clotting effect of blood platelets and cause bleeding), may reduce the effectiveness of some antibiotics, may lower the effects of lithium in patients taking it.
