Capital of Devon, Exeter city is famous for many reasons. It was the seafaring home of Sir Walter Raleigh and Sir Francis Drake, the magician Tommy Cooper, JK Rowling and John Babbacombe Lee (the man that couldn’t be hung). You know these artist geniuses, they move around a bit and in most cases, these former residents of Exeter were not life long.
